"From 1999 through 2005 I was acquainted with Helene during her time as owner of Beckwood Pond. Our relationship developed both professionally and socially through many shared dinners with fellow innkeepers in our area. Our meetings provided opportunities to share ideas and to create a closer sense of community among business owners who may have formerly seen each other as competitors. Cooperative attitude, long-term gain in business . . . lasting personal relationships that are greatly valued . . ."

Another Personal Recommendation for Additional Way To Increase Business:
As owners of Beckwood Pond "An English Inn in the Vermont Countryside" we worked closely with two important international sites and Countryside Connection will also be listed on each of them. The number of reservations we received as a direct result of our placement on their sites means that our group listing should bring added business to each of you, not only those offering accommodations. The owner of each site has kindly offered to work directly with you if you also choose to add your personal website. **Please mention that you are a Countryside Connection Member when contacting each site:

"The few B&B's and Inns in our immediate area formed an association where we held regular meetings to discuss common problems, troubleshoot solutions and share ideas for better promotion of our Inns. We found that in addition to our own personal website, joint advertising was extremely valuable and helpful. It was wonderful to get to know the other innkeepers and to see their properties. Each of the inns (and innkeepers) was truly unique and offered something special and unique to their guests. The camaderie and cooperation made the job seem more fun and less lonely. Plus, it was great to share the horror stories of innkeeping!"
